Addressing Critical Issues in Indonesia

Indonesians placed for work abroad in 2024

Rp180T

annual cash-waqf potential, mostly untapped

Indonesia's challenges are connected — and so are our answers. Nearly half of children under five lack the diverse diet essential for development, and stunting still sits above the WHO 20% threshold. Each year hundreds of thousands leave to work abroad, many through informal, high-risk channels rather than legal, skilled pathways. And funding for social programs too often depends on one-off grants, even as the nation's waqf potential goes largely untapped. We work where these gaps meet — opportunity, health, and sustainable funding.

Opportunity gap

Hundreds of thousands seek work abroad each year, often via informal channels — legal, skilled pathways are the safer route.

Health access

Remote and underserved communities still face gaps in basic and maternal-and-child healthcare.

Sustainable funding

Social programs too often rely on one-off grants, while the nation's waqf potential stays largely untapped.

Through inclusive partnerships and programs now taking shape — from skills training and legal pathways to study and work abroad, to mobile healthcare and a term-waqf endowment — we work to empower local communities and transform lives. Together, we are laying the groundwork for a resilient, healthy, and thriving society.

One family, one direction

Foundation sets the course. Impact runs the programs.

One family, one direction: Kalayudha Foundation sets the mission and governance, Kalayudha Impact executes the programs, and each program — SCALE Academy, the Waqf initiative, and our field initiatives — reports its results back through the Foundation.
