Common questions
Frequently asked questions
What are Kalayudha Foundation's key focus areas?
We center our efforts around Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) pillars. All of our initiatives are also guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Which flagship programs does Kalayudha Foundation currently run?
Our skills-training & employment program in General Service is live now. On our roadmap are the Sehat Nusantara Mobile Clinic, Desa Cerdas Berbasis Digital, AgroTech for Resilience, and the Kalayudha Food Security Initiative. Alongside these run our ecosystem programs — SCALE Academy (study & work abroad) and the Endowment/Waqf initiative — which have their own dedicated sites.
How does Kalayudha Foundation fund its programs sustainably?
Through ESG-based funding schemes, partnerships with investors and donor agencies, and our Endowment/Waqf initiative — a term waqf where the principal is preserved while its yield funds social programs. This blended approach lets programs stand on their own over time, backed by financial literacy and transparent reporting.
If I want to become an ESG-focused strategic partner, what does Kalayudha Foundation offer?
We provide a comprehensive framework for partnership, including: SDG-aligned CSR initiatives, education, health, and technology program collaborations, and project funding & infrastructure development.
How can I support Kalayudha Foundation?
There are three main ways: partner with us on SDG-aligned CSR and program funding, volunteer your skills and time in the field, or co-design programs as a government, campus, or community collaborator. Sustainable giving through our Endowment/Waqf initiative is also available via a BWI-licensed nazhir and an OJK-licensed investment manager. Reach us via the contact details on this page to get started.
Who can join SCALE Academy, and how does it work?
SCALE Academy prepares Indonesians for legal pathways to study, win scholarships, and work abroad, through its SCALE STUDY and SCALE WORK tracks across eight destination countries. It begins with a free readiness assessment, followed by language, skills, and certification preparation, mentor verification, and placement through licensed partner institutions. Full details and registration are on the SCALE Academy site.
What is the Endowment/Waqf initiative, and is it safe?
It is a term waqf (wakaf berjangka): you endow your principal for a fixed period, the returns fund social programs, and the principal is preserved and returned to you at maturity. Funds are held by an independent custodian, managed by a BWI-registered nazhir together with an OJK-licensed investment manager in low-volatility Sharia instruments, and overseen by a Sharia Supervisory Board. The information here is general education, not an offer; specific schemes are subject to Sharia board and regulatory approval.
How do I volunteer or apply for opportunities?
We welcome volunteers for field programs, community education, and events across our initiatives. Reach out through the contact channels on the Get Involved page and tell us your skills, interests, and availability — we will connect you with the program where you can help most.
